Contest Rules

1. Contest is only open to Queens and Long Island professional cosmetologist, and cosmetology 
students

2. Contestants must have a min of 4 categories, with a min of 4 models, $50 per 
model after the required 4

3. Make-up and cloths must compliment the hairstyle, remember this is a competition based on looks

4. All method of setting, gels and coloring agents may be used to create your style.

5. Judging will be done on a visual basis only

6. Theme, Fantasy and Couture competition judging will be based on hair, headdress, clothing, make-up, nail and accessories. 

7. No wigs allowed, you must create all head wear

8. Hair ornaments must be made of 85% hair.  The entire design must be made of 85%  hair {human or synthetic} of any color.

9. The finished style must be part of the model total look.  The hairstyle and attire must compliment each other.  The attire must tie-in with the hairstyle.  Make-up and hair must give a total look. 

 NO GROTESQUE - NO HORROR - NO CULT - NO MONSTERS

10. If entering on a individual level must reside in Queens, proof must be shown.  If found to be in default all prizes will be null and void.

11. Application must be filled out completely, all fees must be paid in full by May  16,2008.

12. Only Queens Hair Schools may enter

13. Students must be in good standing with hair school

14. The creator must sign and submit the official entry application and the required fee $250.  In doing so, the creator agrees to abide by the decision of the judges. 

15. Salon Niquel and the Sisters of Style reserves the right to cancel or limit the number competitors.
